This is a chapter close to my heart. It serves as a reminder on how life is complicated yet simple, always having its ups and downs, difficult to predict. The more we are able to come to terms with these contradicting facts of life, the easier it will be for us to live through it.
The chapter also discusses the Kübler-Ross Model, a model I learned from my mentor in the early days that helped me deal with the roller coasters of life. I will always remember him drawing it on a piece of tissue at a “mamak” shop opposite our office and KLCC (which is no longer there and now a luxury condominium), passionately explaining to me how the model works.
