It’s the first day of 2024. Started the day early at 12.00am (hahaha) trying to get Ruzain to sleep. Finally got him to at 3.30am probably (didn’t really look at the watch). Considered a success given he slept at close to 12pm (yes it’s pm not am) on new year’s eve (and woke up at 2pm+ – life is never accurate when it comes to Ruzain). Slept back after Subuh and how else best to celebrate the new year sleeping in (hahahaha – it’s been this trend for the last two weeks of year end holidays). Come to think of it, Ruzain is actually reliving my teenage...
It’s been a while. Actually, it’s been too long. Last I wrote was back in June. I was contemplating on writing anything for the year end but then I thought to myself, I’m writing for myself anyway – not as if there are readers of my blog entries. It’s really just written thoughts that acts for various purposes – to capture a moment, jot random thoughts and sometimes as a reminder. Sky, Bukit Jelutong, Shah Alam, 28 January 2023 It doesn’t help with some of the unexciting news that came in throughout the week.Somehow got to figure how to cope with the internal turbulence I’m facing inside. There are days I can come to terms with it but there are many moments it comes and bug...
It’s the Chinese New Year break and took a trip up to Langkawi to wind down. It’s been a while since I spent time on a island and actually going out to the sea. I used to do island trips quite a lot when I was younger in my uni days with both my school and uni hommies – almost every semester break. Just the smell of the sea and lazing around at the beach (despite the hot sun) is therapy – it’s pretty awesome. I can swim but can’t actually float due to my trauma of almost drowning during...
