It\u2019s been more than a week since I wrote anything. Without us realizing, it\u2019s been a week since we started fasting. Time surely passes by so fast these days.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Life has been hectic, nothing new. Adjusting to the norm of spending Ramadan indoors at home. I actually look forward to Ramadan every year, from the bazaars to rushing out to get a container (or 2) or my favorite bubur lambuk<\/em> given away after Asr<\/em> at Masjid Tengku Ampuan Jemaah, Bukit Jelutong and most of all, missing the tarawih prayers at the same mosque (also getting to see my 2 nephews there where they will take turns afterwards to ride my scooter to drop them off back at the guard house near the home).\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It\u2019s a different kind of experience this year. It\u2019s unique for sure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The one thing I do like about Ramadan this year is not having to rush back and get stuck in traffic to get home. I don\u2019t miss that at all.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Today, I experienced something new too. I was invited to represent Malaysian Takaful Association (MTA) to speak Air Asia\u2019s online town hall for it\u2019s \u201cSuperstars\u201d (a special term used for certain group of Air Asia\u2019s staff force). <\/p>\n\n\n\n

We had representatives from Life Insurance Association Malaysia (LIAM), it\u2019s CEO Mark O\u2019Dell as well as representatives from Bank Negara Malaysia, Datin Arlina Ariff, BNM\u2019s LINK and Regional Officer Director and Khairulrejjal Mohd Yusof.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We spoke about the relief measures introduced by takaful and insurance industries in light of COVID-19 as well as the importance of takaful\/insurance in general.

It was not that bad actually. At first, I couldn\u2019t imagine how it would go but it seems more natural than (and casual) than I thought. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Though I\u2019m still not familiar with using Zoom – didn\u2019t know how to change the background. Others had cool backgrounds such as jungle and the BNM building as theirs. I had my son\u2019s collection of lego in mine – I had hijacked the room as my office space since MCO. So sometimes when he has the sudden urge to play lego, you\u2019ll hear his voice in the background during one meetings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lol.

Also it was my turn to share some thoughts with the team at the office via a HR communication initiative – the weekly emails to all staff. Shared my thoughts and tips on Ramadan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It reminded of the part of me who likes to share – it\u2019s something I really enjoy and find satisfaction in.

Anyway, hopefully things are good with everyone and may this Ramadan be an amazing one for you.
