As of today, 12 MOH healthcare workers and 3 from the private healthcare sector have been infected by the COVID-19 virus. One of 12 MOH staff is currently in ICU on ventilatory support.
This virus knows no boundaries, regardless of your race, religion or wealth status, even more so if you are a healthcare worker at the frontline of this war.
Our simple message to the public today: Please help us to help you. Stay at home.
Datuk Dr. Noor Hisham Abdullah
Malaysia’s Health Director General
Stories after stories cropped up today, on irresponsible Malaysians all over the country, regardless of race, age or religion – irresponsible, selfish and some just bloody rude human beings.
There were people who were proudly taking video showing how happily they are eating together at a food stall, people justifying going out for a jog like there is no tomorrow, people hiding the truth and not getting checked after being exposed then affecting innocent people including those on the frontlines at the hospital, thugs who thinks they are above the law ramming into authorities on the street – seriously, what’s wrong with you people?
Is it so difficult to keep to this simple request?
I get it, it’s hard. My son went all out tantrum from last night till today, both of us barely had any sleep. I had urgent calls, Whatsapp messages and emails to attend to the whole day.
Was it easy, of course not.
There were times I wished I was in the office at that very moment. Or I could bring my son out for cake just to make him happy (and me happy).
Today, I realized and truly appreciate the pleasures of going out, which is now temporarily taken away, and thanks to those who are still stubborn out there, we might just be in this state a bit longer than we hope to.
And can’t you see, the longer we drag this, the harder it is on people’s pockets, who can’t go out do business, work etc.
Wake up people, wake up.
How an unseen virus has managed to bring out a more deadly internal virus from people – their ugly true colors.
Not all, but like the increasing trend of COVID-19 virus, this ugly virus is trending the same as well – maybe exponentially more.
Today is 1,030 confirmed cases – another 130 new cases only 48 from the tabligh cluster.
Where did all the others come from? Any ideas?
I kind of have a hunch.
Today too it was announced the armed forces will be mobilized this coming Sunday to help put people in check.
Dream come true, irresponsible Malaysians. It finally feels like we’re at war.

Where some of us continues deciding to be imbeciles, the people who are putting their necks on the lines for long hours drenched in sweat, continues to work hard trying to save the world. While they cry and beg for one simple thing from all of us – to stay home, even that we can’t do?
Imagine having to take care of so many people in one place – like really sick people and it just doesn’t stop coming. Some of us complain of dealing with our kids at home during this restrictive movement order (like I indirectly did earlier).
What about them?
Worst still they are constantly exposed to this virus, despite whatever protection gears or safety measures taken. We’re at home on our sofas and beds, we can’t even be happy with that.
1 of them is already in ICU.
So – today, asking to all of us to be brave:
Be brave, be honest and go check yourself out if you have been exposed to the virus in whatever way. Don’t put everyone in danger.
Be brave, tell off those irresponsible people you know, who ain’t doing right thing – better still, just report them to the authorities.
Be brave, to face the tighter security days in the days to come.
Be brave, face the challenge head on in keeping yourself occupied in this worldly prison, which happens to be your own home.
Be brave, stay at home.
