Ramadhan

Its been few days since I jotted down any thoughts. Time was never on my side, just out of battery by evening. It seems to be the theme of MCO for me.

Everyone has their share of challenges during this period. While mentally and physically drained, I’m thankful that I don’t have the headache (or heartache) of worrying about putting food on the table – a test accompanied by stress at a different level.

As I was going through the day, it finally hit me that its only 10 more days to Ramadhan and this year, Ramadhan is going a totally different experience – an experience that no one saw coming.

I actually look forward to my routine every year – the bubur lambuk at the Bukit Jelutong mosque after Asar on weekends, the usual daily menu at the Ramadhan bazaar especially the yong tau fu and what I most look forward to – the lively and bright tarawih prayers, even on nights I’m super sleepy.

But then I’m just thankful that I get to see another Ramadhan. Now, personally for me is to prepare to welcome it with an open heart. Hopefully we will come out of it better human beings.

Ramadhan is just around the corner. Time to replenish spiritual food for the soul.

Stay home. Stay safe. Stay sane.
