An Online Talk

Today, another first in my life. It was the premier of an online talk I recorded for members of the Chartered Institute of Islamic Finance (CIIF). Chose to speak about how COVID-19 has impacted takaful – both as an operator/industry as well as to an individual on the street, like you and me.

It’s a first time and honestly, it’s awkward to see yourself talk on video. I‘ve developed a new respect for people who have done this regularly and naturally. Mine is a bit sloppy with mispronunciations here and there. But again, just keeping it real.

At the end, it came up to close to an hour video. I was surprised as well. Probably not the best output but contented with the debut. The content might be a bit general, and it didn’t take into consideration the early relaxation of MCO – recorded over the weekend in the first of Ramadan.

Also, I didn’t know earlier it was exclusive for CIIF members only, so will let it play around there a while. Maybe share it later. (super long anyway, doubt many would sit through it)

But for the purpose of sharing and creating awareness on takaful, I’m sharing the part where I touched on how takaful is important to us as individuals, which has made more apparent with the COVID-19 pandemic.

The editing might be a bit bumpy as it was actually done only using MS Powerpoint.

Hope the sharing benefits anyone seeing it in any way and create that urge to take up takaful – like right now.

Stay safe, stay sane.
