It’s been a while since I wrote anything. Life has been super hectic for the past 2 weeks with the sudden increase in work expectations and pressures (some unnecessary) as well as the usual home routines I need to deal with.
While the MCO has been relaxed, I’ve continued to work at home – playing my part to ensure social distancing continues to be implemented. I’m actually getting a hang of working from home. Bought a few gadgets to help out with the frequent online meetings (self justifying my stress shopping). But I do miss hanging out with friends at the office – those lunch breaks and going around disturbing people (lol).
I did break the record of going in to the office for few hours on Tuesday. I haven’t step in since MCO started in mid March. Luckily my office is still intact and no one took it over. Just found few items on the floor for some reason.
Anyway, without us realizing it, being so occupied with the hassles of life, we’re already at the end of Ramadan. This year as I had earlier expected, Eid Fitr would be totally different and unique. A lot of us won’t be able to celebrate it with our closest family members.
I’m lucky enough my mum is just a 20 minutes drive away to Sunway Damansara. But I know a lot would only be able to celebrate it with immediate family members in our respective homes – at least some of us have that. There would be some who would probably just celebrate alone in the cities due to travel restrictions. My thoughts are with all of you.
Coming back to Ramadan, I sincerely hope I managed to live Ramadan to my best but personally I do feel that I didn’t do enough. Wished I had more discipline in living the holy month to the fullest. I do pray that I come out of it a better person.
Also I just realized today, 1 Syawal would probably fall on 24 May 2020. It will be 2 years since my late dad passed away in Ramadan on 22 May 2018. I’m not sure whether my mum and brother realizes it. Hopefully it won’t be too emotional that morning.
So – let’s make the best of the last 2 days of Ramadan. Make lots of prayers and enjoy it to the last moment.
Till next time, stay safe!
